Rules and Regulations for the 2026 Harlem Township Community Farmers Market

The following Rules and Regulations have been established in order to create a market that offers local produce and products to the consumer directly from the producer. The goodwill and consideration of growers and producers to others will ensure the smooth operation of the market. Read these Rules and Regulations carefully before signing your application and keep this copy for your records. Failure to observe them may result in termination of your market assignment. ​ If you have questions regarding these rules or joining the market, call 740-403-2738 or contact us. The 2026 season will begin on Wednesday, May 20th and run through Wednedsay, August 26th and will run for 15 consecutive weeks, weather permitting.

2026 Rules and Regulations

1) Setup for the market will begin no earlier than 3:00 p.m., selling begins at 4:00 p.m. Sales end at 7:00 p.m. If you require additional time for set-up, please contact the market manager at 740-403-2738. Early selling will not be permitted. There will be no sales prior to the opening of the market, except amongst the managers, volunteers, and other vendors. The market manager(s) can make exceptions. Please note: If you are not at the market within 10 minutes after the market has begun and have not notified us that you will be late, your space may be given to another vendor. Please call the market manager prior to market day, if you know in advance that you will be late. You may call or text at 740-403-2738. 2) Vendors are permitted to temporarily park and unload supplies from their vehicles at their locations during setup times; those vehicles should be moved to the public parking area prior to the market opening. 3) All vendors must provide their own table and/or tent. Note: no electricity or running water will be provided by the market. 4) Market prices for all items must be visibly posted. All vendors are responsible for setting their own prices. If you are selling items by exact weight, you must have access to a scale. 5) No selling of animals or flea market-type items. 6) Operate your stand in a neat, safe, and sanitary manner. Keep your sales area clear of garbage and keep produce off of the ground. Vendors must also clean up their spaces after each market. Vendors are responsible for removing their own trash at the end of the market. 7) Vendors who participate in the market are expected to provide their own liability insurance. Vendor shall provide proof of said insurance upon request. By submitting your application, you agree to release Harlem Township, Harlem Township Heritage, Inc. (“HTH”) and its agents, employees, officers, and volunteers from any and all claims of any kind resulting in participation in the Harlem Township Community Farmers Market. 8) HTH is responsible for space assignments, public safety, and enforcement of the market rules. If you have a concern or complaint regarding market rules, please submit your complaint to the market manager in writing and it will be reviewed with the market manager, and the HTH Board. Please note that all rules are subject to change based upon the overall betterment of the market. 9) HTH and/or the market manager reserves the right to admit or reject any vendor for any reason not prohibited by law. 10) There is no application or vendor fee for 2026, however this is subject to change for subsequent years.

Food Unit Farmers' Market (delawarehealth.org) Your booth may be inspected by the Delaware Public Health District for safe food regulations pertaining to your products.
